Ready to learn about metal music? Today we talk about Nightwish’s song Amaranth off of their album Dark Passion Play. Its a beautiful song, and we’re gonna talk about it, right now on, the Spikes Signal!
EDIT: After reviewing this song further for a cover I am working on, it appears that this notation was quite simplified compared to the actual song (rhythms and sublet nuance mostly). Thankfully, what was discussed about much of the harmony and progressions was accurate (though the chorus has a lot of vocal harmonies that weren’t notated). Eventually I will release some staff music for Amaranth that is more accurate. When I do I will link it here.
